16 GB RAM is recommended for complex drawings with many layers and external references. Large 3D assemblies also benefit from a dedicated GPU with 2 GB or more VRAM.
 
An internet connection is required during license activation only. After activation, SmartCAD works fully offline. See the activation guide.
